Ahem. Now THIS is clever cough drop marketing.

When you aren’t feeling well, mustering up a smile isn’t always easy…but the folks at Ricola herbal cough drops seem to wish to change that. Just check out “Unwrap Your Voice” – the cheeky new packaging and print ad campaign for the brand via a collaborative effort between Jung Von Matt, Scope Digital Studio and Illustrator Julien Canavezes.


The newly wrapped cough drops depicting cartoon illustrations of people’s faces in several stages of discomfort were distributed at concerts in Germany – a venue where screaming fans could certainly use a little throat relief (and got a bonus dose of comic relief). What a fun way to expand the Ricola brand’s personality, appealing to a modern audience while standing apart from the competition.
