Take Facebook by Storm

Whether you love or hate Facebook, the social media giant gained major props with many this weekend as people searched the web for ways to help with Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. Pages and groups popped up left and right connecting Facebookers from all corners with information on which shelters need what items, where displaced storm victims could go for a hot meal, and even how property owners could see aerial views of their damaged homes when they weren’t allowed to set foot anywhere near them.

Personally, I was touched when several friends stole my original cover photo (above) to show some support for our Garden State, whose shoreline was devastated by the Frankenstorm.
