Remember Viewmaster? That toy invented back in 1939 that allowed kids to pop circles of images into it and view those images one by one with the press of a lever on the side? This retro-cool toy has just given parents a brand new reason to love its innocence via a new commercial. The ad shows quickly and clearly that a smart phone – the game app-filled device many parents pop into kids’ hands as a default babysitter – can allow little ones unwanted, non-G-rated insight into Mommy’s or Daddy’s personal life. It’s a great ad that practically doubles as a public service announcement. Thanks for sharing your 20/20 vision, Viewmaster!
