Head’s Up: Soft-Serve Beer Foam

It appears that the fine folks at Kirin Beer may have put an end to the “need” for beer koozies by creating a frozen beer foam that will keep your brew frosty for at least 30 minutes. The “soft serve” foam was developed by freezing beer to -5 Celsius and blowing air into it. When dispensed onto a beer, it acts like a insulating lid. And since the foam is created from beer, it does not dilute the brew when it melts.

No, it’s not yet available in the U.S. – only Japan so far, in over 100 locations including baseball stadiums. Road trip anyone?
