A few days ago, Anonymous hacked the media by claiming to have hacked Go Daddy:
Shortly after the Anonymous’ claim, GoDaddy explained that there were internal issues that caused millions of sites to go down. This morning, I got this apology email from GoDaddy:
It was straightforward, informative and sorry. And I believe them. If you clicked through the email, it brought you to an apology-coded page that offers a 30% discount for giving them a chance to re-earn your business and your trust:
I like it. They’re admitting fault (everyone’s human, even the folks with the babe-a-licious ad campaign), and they’re putting their money where their mouth is. Here’s the link, in case anyone wants to save 30% (I have no idea how long it’s good for / how many sites / other terms):

In the end, I would have to say that Go Daddy did some good crisis management – and Anonymous hurt their own, um, credibility.
