New National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) TV Ads Promote Importance of Using Certified Professionals

NKBA’s “Details” Campaign Is Running on HGTV and DIY Networks

BOONTON, N.J. (December 18, 2017) – The S3 Agency, an award-winning creative agency in Boonton, NJ, has launched a new TV commercial campaign for the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA). Entitled “Details,” these commercials focus on the importance of using NKBA-certified professionals to create kitchen and bath spaces that will be designed and executed properly in every aspect. The two :15-second spots, which began airing this month on the DIY and HGTV networks, are intended to help increase awareness of the NKBA among home-improvement-focused consumers. By running back to back following a “DIY Download” one-minute tips segment about a home improvement project, the NKBA will benefit from a 90-second branding opportunity.

One spot opens on a woman getting ready to escape from the day’s stress as she gets into a bath. A dripping faucet suddenly jars her back to reality – the reality that her bathroom does not live up to her oasis expectations. In another spot, a woman is taking a coffee break as she looks with satisfaction upon the meal she just made. Then an improperly installed cabinet door creaks open, destroying her moment of bliss. Both commercials point viewers to www.NKBA.org as their source of certified designers and remodelers who know how to turn their home improvement dreams to reality.

“The NKBA is the place individuals can find inspiration and qualified professionals to work with them as they remodel their kitchens or baths,” said Bill Darcy, NKBA’s CEO. “It’s also where the pros in all related disciplines can find one another, whether a designer needs a contractor, a contractor needs a dealer, a dealer needs a remodeler, or a remodeler needs a designer.” He added, “Projects can look easy when they’re boiled down to a 30-minute TV show. But when the consumer gets into it and discovers the complexities of fine design and installation, they often realize they’ve taken on more than they can handle, and that a pro will ultimately save money, time and aggravation.”

“The DIY community is very empowered to take matters into their own hands, so when they decide to turn an undertaking over to someone else – an undertaking like designing and constructing a beautiful kitchen or bathroom – they want to make the right choice,” says Denise Blasevick, CEO, The S3 Agency. “NKBA certification provides the confidence that consumers are making a smart choice.”

The campaign is expected to air through Spring 2018. For more information about the NKBA, NKBA certification, and where to find NKBA-certified professionals, visit NKBA.org. For more information about The S3 Agency, visit theS3agency.com.
